Even after submitting a purchase offer, you can generally withdraw your purchase if you have not signed a contract.
The purchase application form is a clear statement of intent to purchase to the seller, stating the amount of money to be paid for the property, the financing conditions on the purchasing side, and various other conditions for the purchase. Unlike a sales contract, real estate purchase application documents are generally not legally binding.
However, even if you do not have a sales contract, you may be held liable for damages if you are found to have been negligent in concluding the contract or if you have acted in any way in bad faith.
